Tyco to Install Queen Elizabeth Carrier Firefighting Systems
The Royal Navy has awarded a contract to Tyco International to install fire fighting systems for the navy's new Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers. The £15m ($21.5m) contract awarded by the UK Aircraft Carrier Alliance is part of the £333m ($478.5m) package of the project. Systems will be manufactured at the company's facility in Newton Heath and are expected to be complete within four years.
